Sgt. Mark Rodriguez of the Gautier Police Department in Mississippi, was driving along Interstate 10 like any other morning when he was nearly blinded by a bolt of lightning striking the concrete barrier in front of him. According to WLOX News, Sgt. Rodriguez went back to where the lightning struck and found a piece of the barrier was broken off by the strike. You can even see the few seconds after the strike that there was still sparks coming off the barrier! Watch this video and see just how close he was to it!
We all know we shouldn’t, but we’ll still do it anyway: judging someone’s parenting skills. We obviously don’t know their story or what their struggles are, but we’ll wonder why did they do this? Or why didn’t they teach their kids that? That’s how I’m feeling with this next story. Why did this girl’s parents raised her like a Barbie doll?
Angelica Kenova, a 26-year-old model from Moscow, Russia, has been working on her drastic look her entire life. Eating a special diet and having her own exercise programme so that she can maintain her Barbie frame. According to the Daily Mail she said, “Growing up, my parents raised me like a princess and never let me go out, date boys or have the usual adult experiences. As a result, I am not fit for real life – I’m like a living doll.”
With a 20-inch waist and a 32E bust size, Angelica insists that she has never had plastic surgery because, “cosmetic work is only necessary when one has serious faults.” Her proportions are manipulated through a lot of intense training and exercises.
But, Angelica isn’t quite as wholesome or angelic as Barbie. Her parents encourage her to take more salacious photographs as a model. Which might be why her goal one day is to be a Playboy Playmate.
I’m not sure if this is her “rebelling” and telling the world about her story, or if this is all a big marketing ploy to get her noticed. Did her parents make her take selfies of herself all dolled up, too? Or how about wearing Barbie gear, while looking exactly like Barbie? It’s like a giant neon sign for those who couldn’t tell.
I, personally, find her very pretty, yet creepy all at the same time. And yes, I know there’s a lot of photoshopping here, still she looks creepily good. What are your thoughts?

Sometimes we forget that there are rules and regulations that need to be upheld in order to build anything. Some areas in the world don’t really take that into consideration, or their rules are much more lax than ours. This can result in some of the craziest roads and journeys, ever. Some of these places look so spectacular that I would be willing to risk it just for the view. Some makes my stomach churn a bit. The idea that a tire can slip off the edge of the road gets me really nervous. Make sure if you want a crazy road adventure, have a driver who’s experienced and knows the road very well!

Recently we post a story about a man in Oregon who made his own micro-home. He mentioned the “joys of living tiny”. It reduces your environmental impact by using less heat and the overall cost of having to maintain it.
If you liked that last story, this one will knock your socks off! This home looks so futuristic, yet, also like a giant egg. This egg house was designed by dmvA architecture, a group based in Belgium. The group has named this specific design as Blob, classifying its concept as “freedom”.
The Blob has all your necessities including a bathroom, kitchen, light, bed and space for storage. The front end can be opened up and you can use it almost like a porch. It can be used as an office, guestroom, or anything you want.
I wouldn’t mind driving to the middle of nowhere and setting this up! What do you think?

It was unlike any other day for 27-year-old Luke O’Reilly. He just wanted to do whatever it is, I assume, all young, athletic, cool kids in New Zealand do, go paddle boarding. But regular paddle boarding can sometimes be boring, right? So why not step it up a notch? As told to the Daily Mail, O’Reilly was on the beach when he spotted a pod of orcas (yup, Killer Whales!), when he decided that it would be neat to go out there with a GoPro and see how they’re doing.
He was quickly surrounded by six ocras swimming next to him. One in particular stuck by him for almost 10 minutes and even tried to take a bite out of his board! But being an expertise in the art of balance, O’Reilly was able to stabilize himself and stay on his board. He’s swam with and paddle boarded with orcas before but does not recommend an average person to do the same.
